Here are some recommendations for a perfect family day.
#1 Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh ♫
The clopping of hooves of the Haflinger horses, the tinkle of bells in time with their trot, the soft snow blanketing the meadows and trees – a horse-drawn sleigh ride will make you imagine you are in the magical world of Narnia, where wrapped up in a warm blanket you can breathe in the fairy-tale atmosphere. | For information and bookings: (+39) 0461 585900.

#3 A trip to the old village
San Lorenzo in Banale is a small settlement just 6 km away from Molveno, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of an authentic antique mountain village. It is no accident that it is listed by the Italian Touring Club as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Take a relaxing stroll along its cobbled streets in the winter sunshine: the old houses are huddled together, connected by porticoes, porchways, and internal courtyards evoking a distant past that lives on here in wood and stone.
#4 “In our hearts we all have a knight in shining armour ready to set off on a journey.”
Throughout this winter and spring Fai della Paganella will be celebrating the centenary of the birth of Gianni Rodari. Eight locations offer a completely new insight into some of the nursery rhymes by this great Italian writer, journalist, poet, and partisan.
The route proceeds along the Sentiero dei Belvedere footpath, with a travelling exhibition where you can discover and explore other writings by Rodari, thanks to some particularly suggestive luminous installations.
#5 An afternoon at the Lago dei Sogni
Let yourself fall under the charms of an absolutely magical atmosphere: throughout the winter luminous installations, scenographies, and lighting effects will illuminate Lake Molveno at sunset.
And while Mum and Dad enjoy a tasty hot chocolate, the youngsters can launch themselves into a flurry of ice skating stunts. | Every day from 16:00 to 23:00 hours.
