The three arches bear witness to historical development

Cavedago is a typical municipality, made up of a series of farmsteads spread over a large geographical area.

Along the country road, just after the Maso Mattè (farmstead) you reach the famous three-arched bridge also known as Ponte "Forego". It is unique in having three superimposed and independent arches one over the other, reflecting the development of the area's roads over hundreds of years.

The first bridge, which is also the oldest dates back to 1200, and connects the banks of the Rio Moline at the lowest part. It was commissioned by Count Tirolo Mainboard II.
The second superimposed arch is directly over the first and was built in 1862 at the same time as the road linking Cavedago Frazier Doss, Lave and Andalo was built. The third and highest arch, which is still used by cars today, was built in 1912 together with the main road 421 linking Andalo and Rocchetta.

You can admire this unique bridge both from the viewing point at the junction where the main road meets the road that leads to the Maso Mass as well as from the River Park upstream of the bridge.
In the mid-90s the three arches were restored and at the same time several trails and gangways were built that lead safely to the side of the bridge, so that you can admire the uniqueness up close and absorb the history!

An interesting fact

The emblem of the Cavedago municipality has been the bridge since 1955, chosen to reflect its uniqueness, evolution and the development of the area over hundreds of years.
