Enchanting views and marmots
“A TASTY DISH”: The traditional hut speciality: polenta, sausage, wild mushrooms, and venison.
“OUR RECOMMENDATION”: If you are lucky you might see some cute marmots along the way.
“PERFECT FOR …”: A pleasant day with the family in the forests and meadows of the Paganella.
Il Bait del Germano can be reached with a walk of about 1 h 30 min from the top station of the Andalo – Doss Pelà cable-car, following the path on the right with indications for “Bait del Germano”. The undulating route goes through the Paganella forest with fabulous views of the Brenta Dolomites and wide meadows where with some luck you can spot marmots. The hut can also be reached by MTB along the same route.
The majestic Dolomite peaks form the backdrop for the hut in a quiet and welcoming location where you can savour traditional local cooking. There is a wide choice that includes polenta with venison, egg with speck and potatoes, mixed grill, gnocchi with Puzzone di Moena cheese, and desserts that include strudel, Sacher cake, and soft ricotta cheesecake. After lunch, while the parents are relaxing in the warm sunshine, the children can have fun in the play area equipped with slides and other amusements.
The hut is open roughly from June to September. We recommend contacting them directly to check the
exact opening dates.
