The Alpine Lounge Meriz is an innovative mountain chalet at the top of the chairlift from the Santel locality of Fai della Paganella, climbing up to La Rocca at 1400 metres. It was built according to the most advanced methods for energy saving and environmental protection.
Since 2014 the executive Chef, Giusi, and her staff are always ready to satisfy your needs, with a welcome on the terrace in warm sunshine during good weather days, or in front of an enormous fireplace inside the hut, with its stylish and elegant furniture and fittings.
Chef Francesco, supported by the assistant Chefs, Massimiliano and Ardian, will delight you with their creative and modern cooking, using ingredients from local and regional farms. Not to be missed are the first courses: their fresh pasta is prepared every day directly in the hut kitchen, and the menu changes according to seasonal products.
If you can hardly wait to get back on the ski runs or continue your excursion, you might choose one of the many gourmet sandwiches, or satisfy your sweet tooth with the countless desserts and cakes.
Look out for the various special occasions right through the year for enjoying the mountains together with Fabrizio, Giusi, and all the staff at Rifugio Meriz. These range from Après Ski on Saturday evenings after the lifts close, to carpentry workshops for young children during the summer months.
