This hut stands in the heart of the forest separating Molveno from Andalo.
Traditional stories and tales of inheritance are always fascinating and Casina Bruniol is no exception. Since 1991 the Nerini family have been looking after it. First the parents, and now Massimo and his partner Vania, who dedicate all their love and attention to this pearl in the forests of our mountain plateau. Massimo creates and develops each individual dish himself, seeking out flavours from former times and combining them with more innovative local savours.
In true rustic mountain style, here time really does seem to have stood still. The wooden cladding covering the Casina and the stone floors take us back to another world where everything is still maintained in the traditional way.
In winter, a snowcat excursion for lunch or dinner at the hut is something special you will remember and recount for many years to come. The windows look out over the extensive clearing around the hut. Sitting before a warm fire and watching the snow falling as you enjoy a plate of polenta should be on the “must do" list for your ski holiday.
In the summer it is common to meet forest animals like squirrels and frogs, a delightful opportunity for your children to experience Alpine fauna in real life. The large outdoor area transforms a simple meal into an open-air sensation, always synonymous with wellbeing!
In summer the hut can be reached with an easy walk of about 20 minutes from the Valbiole car park, and in winter wearing snowshoes.
