A mountain hut in a dominant position overlooking Trentino
A dish you ought to try: confit pickled venison, pickled beef carpaccio with apple, walnuts, and fresh herb yogurt
Our recommendation: an appropriate charge of energy before you face the descent, be this on foot or skis, is a drink of bombardino. In all its different versions it always provides a very tasty break
Perfect for: those who like a traditional aperitif on a terrace, here with a very special view over the Brenta Dolomites and Lake Garda
La Roda overlooks more or less all of Trentino. The view is breath-taking towards the Brenta Dolomites and down to Lake Garda, which extends all the way to the northern Italian plain. Here you find great peace and feel the caress of the wind, in a silence that leaves space for the sounds of nature. The Brenta Dolomites look so close it seems you can almost reach out and touch them!
The hut is easily reached using the cable lifts, allowing everyone to reach the summit. Once you reach Doss Pelà, you walk a short distance towards the left to the chairlift that climbs to the summit of the Paganella at 2125 metres.
Here Sabrina will welcome you with her friendly smile, ready to recommend the Trentino dish of the day cooked with dedication by Gigi, the guardian-cook of the hut. Sit down for a lunch with a view and enjoy the authentic flavours of our regional cooking.
After a morning on skis or hiking with the family, what you need is some down time! Relax in this exclusive location, with an aperitif based on extra fresh oysters and a selection of the best Trento Doc wines.
The emotions are even stronger at Cima alla Paganella during our Paganella Dawn events: you ascend early in the morning to admire the spectacle of the rising sun colouring the sky, enjoy an unforgettable breakfast, and then ski down the freshly groomed runs.
The hut was restored in 2006 applying the strict criteria of green building, using aged timber, creating an innovative geothermal heating system, and with meticulous waste sorting.
