5 ideas for your no-ski family holiday in Dolomiti Paganella
Monday 23 January 2023
Here are some recommendations for a perfect family day.
#1 Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh ♫
The clopping of hooves of the Haflinger horses, the tinkle of bells in time with their trot, the soft snow blanketing the meadows and trees – a horse-drawn sleigh ride will make you imagine you are in the magical world of Narnia, where wrapped up in a warm blanket you can breathe in the fairy-tale atmosphere. | For information and bookings: (+39) 0461 585900.
#2 Winter is child's play
In the village centre or on the Paganella ski runs, the Baby Parks is where you can have the best fun together. We provide workshops, games in the snow, and entertainment gifting unforgettable moments for all the family.
#3 “Happiness is fresh snow and a sled"
In Dolomiti Paganella you will find not one, not two, but three sled tracks!
The Meriz sledge track can be reached with the ski lifts that leave from the village of Fai della Paganella. With a total length of almost 1km and an average gradient of 10%, it is suitable for the youngest children, for a day of pure fun with the whole family in Paganella.
With the Molveno cable cars, on the other hand, you can reach the Scoiattolo and Bambi sledge tracks, on the Pradel plateau. Here you will also find a Fun Park for younger children, winter hikes and warm mountain refuges, perfect for a snack or lunch. | More information
#4 Ice Ice Baby
Everyone loves floating across ice with skates on their feet, whether they are children trying for the first time, or more experienced adults trying out some acrobatics. In Dolomiti Paganella you always have a choice of ice rinks for practicing and passing a fun day with the family! There is a covered rink at Andalo Life, and open air rinks at Fai della Paganella and Molveno.

#5 A trip to the old village
San Lorenzo Dorsino is a small settlement just 6 km away from Molveno, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of an authentic antique mountain village. It is no accident that it is listed by the Italian Touring Club as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Take a relaxing stroll along its cobbled streets in the winter sunshine: the old houses are huddled together, connected by porticoes, porchways, and internal courtyards evoking a distant past that lives on here in wood and stone.
