Cross country skiing is a winter sport that allows you to move forward in the snow thanks to the coordinated use of skis and poles.
It is a great activity to keep you in shape and stay in touch with nature, to train independently and enjoy your days in the snow in a new way.
The Altopiano Paganella offers those of you who love cross country skiing 2 trails where you can practice: 2 rings that start from the Andalo Sports Centre, go around the lake and pass through the pine forests near Cavedago.
The first trail covers the entire surface of the small lake of karst origin in Andalo totalling 2.5 km with a slope between 0 and 4%.
There is a 730 m educational camp available for beginners to practice and have private or group lessons.
Going into the Adamello Brenta National Park's forest towards Località Priori (Cavedago) it branches off into the second trail 5.3 km with a vertical drop of 140 and a 9% to 23% slope.
These trails, inserted in the provincial Super Nordic Sky-pass circuit, give you the option to choose the track that best suits your ability. The wellness centre AcquaIN can be found near the Centro Fondo (cross country skiing centre), and with every Super Nordic Ski-pass season-ticket you'll receive one free entry.
Plus don't miss the brand new track that connects Località Dosson and Meriz: nestled in the forest at high altitudes, it is accessible in both directions, either from Località Dosson at the foot of the Olympic slope 2 (halfway on the Andalo-Doss Pelà gondola lift) as well as from Località Meriz, along the Skiweg la Rocca (where the Santel-Meriz ski lift terminates).
