UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site

In the heart of the Adamello Brenta National Park loom high rocky formations and the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, mighty rocky formations of towering shapes.
They have not gone unnoticed by UNESCO, which has recognized them as a World Natural Heritage Site; they have been added to the UNESCO list to be safeguarded.
Those from UNESCO were in awe of the striking vertical mountain faces, of the particular colours of the rocks and of the numerous natural sculptures created by the peaks.

231,000 hectares that include nine Dolomitic groups located in the provinces of Trento, Bolzano, Belluno, Pordenone and Udine.
If you love hiking at high altitudes or climbing don't miss the Croz dell'altissimo (2,339 m), the Campanil Basso (2,883 m) or the Cima Tosa (3,173 m).
Among the most spectacular vie ferrate there is the "Via delle Bocchette".

The wild Val d'Ambez is a paradise for walkers, hikers and mountaineers who love unspoiled nature. It is a valley that has made mountaineering history thanks to its renowned climbing routes. The “ Fossil Garden” is worth a visit.

Our special tip

Climate
At a height of between 800 and 1200 m the winters here are cold and the summers cool. In summer the average maximum temperatures range between 20 and 24 degrees, low temperatures range between 8 and 12 degrees. In winter the temperatures are very harsh and often fall below zero. High rainfall is concentrated in spring and autumn: short showers frequently occur around the high ground.

Clothing
Take care when tackling the routes: the weather is subject to sudden changes in the mountains.
In the winter we recommend wearing wooly clothes, a windproof jacket, hat, gloves and shoes suitable for walking on snow covered paths.
In summer put a jumper or a sweatshirt in your backpack and never forget a pocket rain jacket.
