In Paganella we care a lot about relationships: with the other inhabitants, with our guests, with tourists, with the nature that surrounds us, with the vegetation and with the animals that live here.

During your holiday in Paganella, you will have the opportunity to see up close the animals that spend the summer in our mountain pastures and to find out what they eat and how they live, thanks to the many educational farms in the area.

The educational farms are located in mountain huts at high altitude. They can be reached with a nice walk or with the lifts of the Paganella plateau. Always open from June to September, they are a unique experience both for children and for adults.

There are many activities offered in every educational farm: as well as getting to know the animals up close, you can try your hand at milking the cows, feeding the goats and watching the preparation of dairy products.

HERE ARE OUR EDUCATIONAL FARMS:

Malga Tovre  (1460mt) on the Pradel Plateau, above Molveno: it offers educational itineraries with games, interactions with animals and excursions, in a world for everyone, young and old. You will meet funny alpine cows, or the goats that love to surround themselves with children; you can ride a donkey, visit the barns, milk the cows and learn how to prepare the cheese with fresh milk. It will also be the perfect occasion to taste the tasty and products of the malga! An experience not to be missed is, without doubt, the sunrise at the mountain hut!

Malga Fai (1600mt) in Paganella above the village of Fai della Paganella. Here you will find many animals enjoying their alpine pastures: cows, goats, pigs, hens, rabbits. Try making cheese with your own hands! Once finished, recharge yourself with the dairy products and the culinary specialties of the malga.

Malga Val dei Brenzi (1194mt) on the slopes of Monte Fausior. Discover the green Val dei Brenzi and enjoy a view of the northern Brenta Dolomites. Here you can live an exciting alpine farming experience. You will be able to taste the local cuisine, stay in touch with nature and get to know the cute animals that live in the malga!

Athabaska Farm in San Lorenzo Dorsino hosts more than 100 animals, including the Alaskan Husky school of sleddog, more than 15 camelids including llamas and alpacas and a dozen donkeys - for trekking activities and wool - Rendena and Highland cows, pigs including Thai breed specimens, Indian Runner hens and ducks.

Cows enjoy living on the Paganella plateau, which is why you will find them everywhere: in the mountain pastures, but also in the villages of Fai della Paganella, Andalo and Cavedago. Farmers will be happy to explain how they are cared for and raised. And if you want a good healthy snack, take advantage of the fresh milk vending machine in the Fai della Paganella barn!
